The Town of Scott held its board meeting on September 18, 2017, at 6 PM, at the Scott Town Hall. All board members present along with Nodji Van Wychen, Lorry Erickson, Mary Shepherd, Jack Potter and Willie Johnson.
Town Chairman Chuck Huffman called the meeting to order and Clerk Jim Van Wychen read the minutes of August 2017 meeting. Minutes approved as read. Treasurer Paul Shepherd gave the treasurer’s report. Supervisor Dan Draeger moved and Supervisor Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to accept treasurer’s report and file for audit. Motion passed.
Willie Johnson gave the road report. The widening of Copper Road will be done before cranberry harvest. Mike Strohmeyer will work with Larry Johnson to get gravel placed along road that we are buying from Monroe County.
General Engineering Company has been contacted to do an inspection of Jim Frei property on Crescent Avenue in Norway Ridge.
For public input, County Board Supervisor Nodji Van Wychen explained the status of the County EW project. It will not be done until 2018.
The next town board meeting will be in conjunction with our annual budget meeting. Budget meeting to begin at 5 PM and town board meeting to occur after the budget meeting. The next Town of Scott budget and board meeting will be on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at 5 PM, at the Town of Scott Town Hall.
Dan Draeger moved and Henry Van Wychen seconded a motion to adjourn and pay bills. Motion passed.
